Mitchell Grass Retreat

We didn’t know what to expect as city people, however David and Tanya were amazing. They went out of their way to ensure we were enjoying our holiday. The Tents were superb, the bed was super cosy and the shower was brilliant, heaps.of hot water and pressure. It was so nice to sit on the veranda in the evening , watching the sunset, drinking red wine and eating the cheese platter we ordered. It was so peaceful, I felt like I had been on holidays for weeks We slept so well. The location is perfect Just out of town, but far enough to have complete tranquility. I highly recommend Mitchell Grass Retreat to anyone looking for that special kind of break. Thanks David and Tanya, I wish you success and hope to visit again one day.

Fabulous place, great breakfasts and wonderful hosts. Nothing better than sitting around a campfire with complementary port, what’s not to like! Highly recommended if you are looking for a unique place to stay while exploring Longreach, Winton and surrounds.

Wow the most amazing Glamping in Longreach…. I would thoroughly recommend it and would definitely go back… David and Tanya the most amazing friendly hosts and nothing they wouldn’t do for you…

We really enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised that the accommodation was even better than the photos. David was really friendly and went out of his way to help us. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family. P.S. the breakfast’s were lovely and the port in the room was superb by the fire.

The king bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve come across and the bed linen was very soft and warm. I know it is Glamping, but a kitchen bin would be handy. The breakfasts were great especially the croissants. The swag was a great touch for little people. The marshmallows and hot chocolate were a great touch. The marshmallows especially for the younger crowd. Loved the bath products and the big shower. We enjoyed the camp fire. So impressed with the accommodation that when we come back i’d Love to stay with you again.

My husband and I spent a night here and it was BEAUTIFUL. Incredible glamping experience that included all the luxuries, right down to the marshmallows for roasting. The location was perfect with wonderful hospitality from David and Tanya. Would highly recommend staying here! We will definitely be going back again.

Fabulous experience this is definitely Glamping at the next level, luxurious furniture and the most comfortable bed delicious breakfast , toasted marshmallows on your own fire pit, soak in the deep bath looking up at the stars, can’t wait to come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mitchell Grass Retreat. We had an idea that it was going to be great when we received a phone call from David on check in day asking eta of arrival so he could meet us – what other accommodation venue does that! Our glamping accommodation turned out be spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, and the bed unbelievably comfortable, and massive! At night we had firewood provided in our own private pit so we could spend the night stargazing – just WOW! Close to town for everything a couple needs and the Longreach tourist hot spots. The Longreach folk are pretty amazing too – country people are the friendliest people on our planet! Make sure you take a dip in the pool at Mitchell Grass retreat – the best place to relax, cool down and unwind! Thank you team Mitchell – we will be back, and we are telling everyone we know who’ll listen all about you!

The rooms and facilities are fabulous. Loved everything from the great welcome by Katrina and Brett (they could not have been more welcoming), the breakfasts, BBQ pack and the fire pits. Well done on a really wonderful experience in Longreach!
